MAHOTTARI: Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been discovered near the Janga Bridge in Aurahi VDC-3 of Mahottari district this evening.

According to Mahottari District Police Office, the IEDs were found some 100 meters west from the bridge along the Aurahi-Gaushala road.

After the explosives were discovered, traffic along the road section was halted since 6:00pm.

A bomb disposal squad from Nepal Army's First Rifle Battalion in Pakauli has been working to defuse the IEDs, said SP Janak Bhattarai.
