MORANG: An elderly person was killed in a wild elephant attack in Sagphara in Ilam district, near the Morang district border, this afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Jay Bahadur Limbu (84) of Sagphara-2, said Sub-Inspector Ganesh Bantawa at the Madhumalla Area Police Office.

The tusker had attacked Limbu when he was walking on the road nearby his house this morning.

Critically injured Limbu died on the way to Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital after a primary treatment at Urlabari-based Araniko Hospital, said police.
