Implement 8-point pact, Gachhadar tells PM Oli

A delegation of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Democratic today drew the attention of the government towards implementing the eight-point agreement signed with his party while forming the CPN-UML-led government.

A delegation led by MJF-D Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar handed over a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Baluwatar urging him to implement the eight-point agreement.

DPM Gachhadar urged PM Oli to take immediate steps to address issues raised by the MJF-D.

He demanded that the government address the issues, including delineation of federal provinces, declaration of those killed in Madhes agitation as martyrs and appropriate compensation to their families and withdrawal of cases filed against protesters.

“I am positive about addressing the genuine demands of MJF-D as per the new constitution,” PM Oli told the delegation adding that he was positive about implementing the eight-point agreement with the MJF-D.

Senior Vice-Chairperson Rameswor Raya Yadav and Vice-Chairpersons Govinda Chaudhary, Jitendra Dev, Asha Chaturvedi and Secretary Rabindra Thakur accompanied Gachhadar.
