India donates van to dental hospital

Kathmandu, July 25:

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, today handed over a mobile dental van to the Kantipur School of Dentistry and Dental Hospital, Mahargunj. An Indian Embassy press statement said the mobile dental van will have a capacity to extend dental health services to remote areas. This assistance is worth about Rs 2 million and is part of the Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. “Health care is vital for nationbuilding. It is the aim of developing countries to ensure that health care is affordable and within easy reach of its citizens,” the statement said, adding that India has developed a concept of bringing health services to people’s doorsteps.
