India, EU have no moral ground to belittle Nepal's Constitution: DPM Thapa
PARSA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa stated that India and European Union had no rights to belittle Nepal's Constitution.
Addressing the 20th municipal council of Birgunj Sub-Metropolis on Friday, DPM Thapa argued that Nepal has better constitution than that of India and EU, so they don’t deserve to criticise Nepal's constitution.

Adding that it is a matter of internal affair of Nepal, Thapa further said that Nepal's Constitution ensures 33 percent women's reservation in every state mechanism unlike that of India and European Union countries.
On a different note, DPM Thapa, who is also the Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, added that the issues raised by the Madhesi parties is a political issue and so the government will address it in a political way.
He further stressed that Nepal has always been able to resolve the internal issues and will continue to do so even in the future.
The Council today passed an estimated budget of Rs 1.38 billion for the coming fiscal year.
