India to set up quarantine check post at Gauriphanta

Dhangadi, June 22

Farmers and entrepreneurs of Province 7 are highly elated with the Indian government all set to construct a quarantine check post at Gaurifanta on the Nepal-India border.

Earlier, locals of the province had to bear undue costs while exporting goods to India via Nepalgunj border due to lack of quarantine check post at Gaurifanta, Kailali. Locals of the region believe the establishment of check post would help generate additional foreign currency.

Senior industrialist Om Prakash Agrawal said farmers and entrepreneurs would get their goods and products on time easily after the establishment of the check post.

“The quarantine check post will also reduce the province’s dependence on other provinces for exporting goods,” said Agrawal.

“It is a very nice move by India to set up a quarantine check post at Gaurifanta,” said Hari Shankar Thakur, proprietor of Thakur Agro Industries. Likewise, Western Feed operator Manoj Agrawal also lauded the Indian move.
