Indian aid for campus

KATHMANDU: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for construction of a building for Chandrakot Campus of Gulmi district as part of the India–Nepal Cooperation Programme.

The project is the sixth educational project supported by India in Gulmi, according to a release issued by the Indian Embassy.

The project is being implemented by District Development Committee Gulmi at an estimated cost of Rs 41.36 million.

The present infrastructure is dilapidated and not sufficient to meet the needs of the campus.

The embassy said the new building and furniture would provide adequate classroom space and create an enhanced learning environment in Shantipur VDC while also contributing to the development of education infrastructure in the district.
