Itahari, July 8:

An Indian national PS Narayan, a resident of Farbisgunj of India, was found dead in Hira Hotel and Lodge in Itahari of Sunsari this morning.

Narayan had been staying in the lodge since Sunday, the Itahari Area Police Office said.

Narayan had reached the lodge in an inebriated condition on Monday night and had been taken to a nearby community health centre for treatment, police quoted lodge proprietor Hira Shah as saying.

Doctors at the health centre had suggested Shah to take him to Dharan for further treatment. But Shah kept him in the lodge and he died at 7.00 am today, police said.

Police were investigating the case.
