Indian national arrested with illegal currencies

KAWASOTI: Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested an Indian national with a large amount of illegal currencies of various countries from Ramgram Municipality-7 in Nawalparasi, on Saturday.

An APF team at the border security office in Belasapur led by Superintendent of Police of APF, Premraj Pokharel confiscated the illegal currencies from Guddu Gupta during a security check.

Gupta was smuggling the currencies to Maheshpur from Parasi on a motorcycle.

The seized currencies include around IRs 310,000, 2,286 US dollar, 2,485 Saudi Riyal, 110,000 Japanese Yen, 671 Qatari Riyal, 470 Euro, 2,630 UAE Dirham, 600 Kuwait Dinar and 600 Hong Kong dollar among others.
