SUNSARI: A boy who drowned in a water filled pit in Duhabi, Bhaluwa-2 of Sunsari district died on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Anil Mandal (12), son of an Indian national Khagendra Mandal who has been living at the place for the past 12 years.

According to police, the boy was drowned while playing around the pit near his residence.

The unconscious Mandal breathed his last on the way to the community hospital, Duhabi, police said.
