BANIYANI: An Indian national was killed after he came in contact with live wire while working in a rice mill at Mechinagar Municipality-10 in Jhapa district on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Som Hasda (40) of Kishangunj of Bihar district in India.

The incident occurred when Hasda accidently touched a live wire while repairing a machine at the Shiva Sheller Rice Mill in Mechinagar Municipality yesterday, police said.

However, critically injured Hasda breathed his last on the way to hospital in Bitamod.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
