POKHARA: An Indian youth who was hired to make confectioneries for a wedding reception in Grand Hotel at Pokhara has gone missing for the past five days, authorities informed.

According to police, 35-year-old Mahesh Rataula of Suleman Nagar in Delhi, India went missing while swimming at Check-dam-side in Fewa Lake on July 5, 2018.

Following Rataula’s disappearance, a special rescue team scrutinised the region surrounding the Check-dam-side from where the water flows into Seti River through Patale waterfall, for three days. However, whereabouts of Rataula is still unknown, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nabin Karki said.

Rataula’s father and other relatives who had arrived in Pokhara after his disappearance have returned two days ago, police informed.
