Workers of the Indrawati-III Hydro Electricity Project on Tuesday halted power generation to press the management with their 16-point charter of demands.

“We had, on February 27, forwarded the 16-point charter of demands. As the management turned a deaf ear on our demands, including making us permanent, we have halted power production,” said Yuvraj Giri, chairman of Nepal National Workers’ Association, Indrawati-III Hydro Electricity Project unit.

“We were compelled to halt works in the project after the management failed to meet our demands within the deadline of Chaitra last, agreed between us and the management,” he said.
