BHOJPUR: An infant died after a school jeep hit her in Babiya of Sunsari district on Wednesday morning.

The one-and-half-year-old Nasmin Khatun, daughter of local Mursid Khan, was hit by the vehicle (Ko 1 Ja 846) belonging to the Sunsari Academy in Babiya-5 at around 9:45 am today.

Seriously injured in the accident, the child was taken to the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, where she breathed her last after around 45 minutes.

The District Police Office arrested the jeep driver for further investigation.
