Inflow of tourists on the rise in Lamjung

LAMJUNG: Domestic and foreign tourists have begun flocking to the touristic villages of Lamjung district.

With the end of monsoon, the steady inflow of the tourist started in the villages that operate commercial homestay on a daily basis.

The best tourist destinations of the district include Ghalegaun, Kaulepani of Gaunshahar, Rainaskot are being gradually filled with tourist busying the locals operating homestay.

The tourist inflow which had slowed down during the monsoon has brought vibrancy in the district with the start of the autumn season, informed Kaulepani Homestay Operators' Committee Chairman Dev Bahadur Gurung. With the increasing flow of tourists, local homestay operators are busy welcoming guests and managing their stay, committee Chair Gurung.

Similarly, Ghalegaun, a village adopting the concept of 'smart village' that witnessed the arrival of tourist even during the rainy season has now become more bustling.

Likewise, Rainash, a village awarded 'Best Rural Tourist Homestay of Nepal' by Village Tourism Promotion Forum-Nepal (VITOF-Nepal), has become alive with the influx of foreign as well as domestic tourists.

The influx of tourists has brought happiness to locals as well as homestay entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs are expected to increase their tourist activities in the villages for the promotion of the area, informed local entrepreneurs.
