Initiatives to establish district hospital in Nawalpur
NAWALPARASI: Initiatives have been taken to establish a District Hospital in Nawalpur of Nawalparasi.
The step has been taken as the newly developed district does not have a government owned district-level hospital so far, even with the establishment of District Health Office (DHO) a few months back.
Stakeholders have initiated to upgrade the Dumkauli-based primary health center to a district hospital, according to Ekdev Poudel, chair of the Center Management Committee.
Earlier, a team led by Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala had met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chief Secretary Lokdarshan Regmi and had sought their support to this effect.
