Injured students stranded

Dhangadi, May 6:

The students hurt in the shooting at the Janajyoti Campus, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, who were supposed to be flown to Kathmandu for treatment, have been taken to Seti zonal hospital after their flight was cancelled today.

Central member of All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (ANNISU) Nara Bahadur Dhami, ANNISU district committee secretary Mahesh Pant, primary committee member Kiran Chhetri, were injured in a security firing during their meeting on the premises of the Janajyoti Campus, Mahendranagar on April 29.

They were being treated at Sharada hospital in India. Troops had brought them to Dhangadi to be flown to the capital. But as Sita Air’s plane failed to land due to a technical failure, they have been kept at zonal hospital.
