Interaction organised
Butwal, October 22:
An interaction was organised here yesterday regarding overall development of the Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Butwal, including the possibility to develop the hospital into a medical college as well as sub-regional hospital.
At the programme it was decided to make requests to municipal bodies and other social organisations and the district development committee for their assistance in developing physical infrastructure of the hospital. The speakers also stressed the need to increase the number of beds from 135 to 200.
They also pointed out various problems facing the hospital, including frequent change in the posts of the hospital development committee with the change of health minister at the centre, lack of transparency in financial matters and lack of ground to dump garbage.
