A three-day International Ayurveda Conference kicked off in Janakpurdham of Dhanusha.

Inaugurating the workshop at Janakpurdham-based Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Culture Centre on Wednesday, Swami Ananda Aruna said the Ayurveda treatment systems can be helpful in resolving critical health problems surfaced in the world, calling for the state to keep it in priority.

Nepal is also a virgin land for Ayurveda besides Vedic religion and tradition, he said, adding Nepal along with entire human being could be benefitted if the traditional treatment systems and priceless herbals of Nepal were utilized.

On the occasion, the best wishes message of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' was read out.

As many as 600 participants from 17 countries across the globe are attending the conference. The workshop will discuss the importance of Ayurveda in the modern medical science and the research and investigations undertaken in the area of Ayurveda science, informed coordinator of conference coordination committee Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh.
