The Baglung native wanted in fraud and organised crime cases was handed over to CIB for investigation

A fugitive wanted in multiple criminal cases and listed under an Interpol Red Notice has been arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and brought back to Nepal for legal action, Nepal Police said.
The arrested has been identified as Javed Anwar Deen, a resident of Srinagar, Baglung Municipality–2, Baglung district. He was wanted in cases related to fraud, criminal breach of trust, criminal gain (extortion), and organised crime.
According to Nepal Police Headquarters, Deen was arrested in the UAE with the coordination of NCB Abu Dhabi and was repatriated to Nepal on Monday for further investigation and prosecution in the pending cases.
Nepal Police said the Interpol General Secretariat had issued a Red Notice against him on Bhadra 8, 2077 BS, following a request from the Interpol Branch under the Crime Investigation Department at Nepal Police Headquarters to trace and arrest him at the international level.
After his return to Nepal, Deen has been handed over to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) for necessary investigation and legal proceedings, the Interpol Branch of Nepal Police said.
