KATHMANDU, JULY 8

Israel has handed over a consignment of medical supplies to Nepal in a bid to support the country tackle the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

A special flight of Nepal Airlines on Thursday brought the consignment that consisted of medical equipment and supplies including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, masks, PPEs and coverall, provided by the Government and people of the State of Israel as well as the Nepali community living in Israel.

The Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv coordinated mobilisation of the support.

The consignment was received by representative of the Ministry of Health and Population at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Hanan Goder, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, and Harishchandra Ghimire, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were also present at the handover ceremony.

The Government of Nepal expressed its gratitude to the Government and friendly people of the State of Israel as well as the Nepali community in Israel for their generous support to Nepal at this time of need, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
