JAJARKOT: A man died after being attacked by his wife with an axe in Jhapra VDC of the district, on Sunday.

Local Gagan Pun was critically injured when her wife Kalpana attacked on his neck.

Injured Gagan was rushed to a local health facility. Later, he was taken to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

According to police, the attack was inflicted following a minor dispute between the couple.

Chief Inspector Hikmat Bohora said the wife attacked him with an intention to kill him.

Kalpana has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
