Japan to provide over Rs 9m to Netra Jyoti Sangh, Udayapur

GAIGHAT: Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu has extended monetary help to build a new building for Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Udayapur.

President of the organisation in Udayapur, Bhagawat Raut and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo signed an agreement amid a programme organised in the district. According to the agreement, Japanese government will provide Rs 9,050,000 for the building construction.

Construction of the 24-room building will be completed within the next three months, claimed Srijana Danuwar, Vice President of the Sangh, Udayapur.

The Sangh, which has treated a total of 126,832 eye patients since its establishment in 2065 BS, is operating in a rented building belonging to Triyuga Municipality.
