Japanese envoy inaugurates dormitory
Kathmandu, August 6 :
Tsutomu Hiraoka, the ambassador of Japan to Nepal, today inaugurated the Sakura Dormitory, Girl’s Hostel at the Kanya Campus in Pokhara.
The Embassy of Japan had extended a grant worth Rs 6.45 million for the construction of the hostel which will acommodate 20 students.
Kanya Campus contributed 21 per cent of the total cost of the project, while the Japan-Nepal Female Education Association contributed 37 per cent.Ambassador Hiraoka said the project demonstrates the wishes of the government of Japan and its people for the promotion of the well being of the Nepali people, symbolising a long lasting relationship of friendship between Nepal and Janan.
