JHAPA: Property worth about Rs 3 million was gutted in fire that broke out a textile shop in Birtamod of Jhapa district on Monday night.

The fire completely destroyed the textile shop owned by Bhim Prasad Kadariya, Nepal Police said.

It has been learned that electrical short circuit caused the fire.

The fire was doused through joint effort of locals and police.
