JHAPA: A girl was found dead with her throat slit at Budhabare in Jhapa district on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as 11-year-old Tanuja Koirala of Shantinagar-1 in the district, according to the Police Post, Budhabare.

The girl was found murdered at the door of her maternal uncle's house at Budhabare-5 this morning. Koirala had come at the house of her maternal uncle, Dillram Prasai, five days ago.

Police suspect that she might have been murdered after rape.

Further investigation into the incident was underway, said police.
