ITAHARI: The three districts of Jhapa, Sunsari and Morang remained closed on Friday due to the bandh called by the 13 ethnic groups to protest Arjun Tamang's death in the regional jail in Jhumka, Sunsari.

The bandh has crippled normal life in the districts. Transportation has been obstructed in Jhapa and Morang. Partial transportation is being operated in Sunsari. The agitators have demanded Rs 25 lakhs as compensation for Tamang's family. Tamang's body is being kept at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
