Makawanpur District Youth Committee is all set to launch youth employment programmes in the district. On the occasion of National Youth Council’s establishment day, the committee revealed  opportunities for youths.

According to the committee chair Santosh Chaulagain, it is planning to use Rs 40,000 under capital expenditure, Rs 1,186,000 for office management and Rs 1,204,000 for youth employment programmes this fiscal year.

Chaulagain said they had not been able to launch various youth centric-programmes in previous years due to lack of adequate budget. “However, this fiscal we are committed to launch substantial programmes targeting youth entrepreneurs,” he said.

District Coordination Committee Makawanpur Social Development Officer Ram Krishna Thapa stressed the need to allocate budget to develop entrepreneurship skill among youths.

FNJ Makawanpur chapter Chair Hari Humagain said the government need to launch various employment opportunities for youths in the country.
