Journalists rally for Press freedom

Nepalgunj/Pokhara, July 10:
The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), Banke branch, today organised a protest rally for Press freedom. Speaking at a corner meeting that followed the rally, chairman of the branch Prem KC said any conspiracy against bringing divisions among the journalists would fail. Senior journalist Panna Lal Gupta said the agitation led by the federation would revive Press freedom in the country. Over two dozen journalists participated in the rally, chanting slogans in favour of Press freedom. The rallyists also demanded resignation of the information
and communication minister. In Pokhara too, FNJ Kaski branch organised a protest rally demanding restoration of total press freedom.
