Siraha, June 12:

The JTMM- Goit today has warned of taking physical action against Minister of State for General Administration Ram Chandra Yadav.

JTMM-G Siraha in-charge Pradip, in a statement, stated that as the incident occurred in the presence of minister Yadav, he has to take the responsibility of the beating and death of JTMM-G’s innocent cadre Manoj Yadav.

The statement has flayed the beating of Manoj by locals and made a demand to announce late Yadav a martyr. As minister Yadav was the ‘cause’ of Manoj’s death, strict physical action will be taken to him, the statement said. Locals, on the charge of killing of teacher Surya Narayan Yadav of Nahara Rigaul-1 by JTMM-J four days ago, beat up Manoj and handed him to the police the very day, District Police Office (DPO) said.

Manoj who was in police custody was taken to Siraha hospital for treatment yesterday and he died while undergoing treatment at 5 am today.

Manoj who sustained critically injury at his head died in course of treatment, SP at DPO Mingmar Lama said.

Manoj was a student of Janta Secondary School at Nahara Rigaul. The dead body has not been handed to family members till late this evening.

JTMM-G cadres kill Maoist

RAJBIRAJ: JTMM-Goit cadres on Tuesday killed Dashrath Thakur alias Rohit, a central member of the Maoist-affiliated All Nepal Peasants’ Association (Revolutionary). JTMM-Goit cadres took under control Thakur and shot at Diman VDC while he ws heading from Rajbiraj for his house at Prasabani Banauli at 5:00 pm, said JTMM-Goit Area No 2 in-charge Raja Sarthak. Superintendent of Police of Armed Police Force, Dantakali Battalion, Baramjhiya, Prahlad KC said a police team has left for the incident site and details would be available only after it comes back.

The Maoist Saptari secretary Amar said he had heard that JTMM-Goit group had taken Thakur under control and that he was trying to know more about the incident. — HNS
