Narayangarh, October 10:

The Nawalparasi District Court has extended by seven days the custody of two persons who were arrested with 42 kg of hashish from Gaidakot yesterday, the Area Police Office, Gaidakot, said.

Police had arrested Indians Devendra Singh and Santosh Singh with 42 kg of hashish hidden in a car with Indian registration number (DL 3 C 6040). The duo has been arrested and legal action is being taken as per the Drug Control Act 2033, Inspector Prakash Malla of the APO said today. Devendra Singh said he was engaged in smuggling drugs for the past six months and was taking the drug from Nepal to India for the first time.
