JUMLA: The District Coordination Committee Office in Jumla has been operating without a designated head for the past five months, affecting the service seekers.

Local Development Officer Hari Narayan Belbase , who is on leave for the past five months, is yet to report back to work, said Lal Bahadur Sarki, an official at the DCC, adding that administrative work has been affected in his absence.

“Now, to fill Belbase’s absence, the office has accorded responsibility to chief engineer at the District Technical Office, Raj Kumar Goit, including supervision of financial activities,” he said.

“Responding to their repeated calls, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development was ready to send another government officer Hari Prasad Ghimire to replace Belbase,” added Sarki.

Ghimire, however, is yet to join office.
