JUMLA: A youth was thrashed to death over a dispute at Palkot jungle in Chhum Chaur of Jumla district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Khatri  (19) of Gairagaon in Chandannath municipality-15 of the district.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Hari Koirala informed that Khatri who had gone to watch a sports event on the eighth Secondary-Level President Running Shield Competition at the areas was chased by four youths and killed in the jungle.

DSP Koirala further said two of the four assailants were arrested.
