Jumla's Dhauligad water supply project in pipeline
JUMLA: The Dhauligad Water Supply Project, one of a major project of Jumla district, is to be constructed after all, albeit with increased cost.
The DPR prepared by Dream Geo Lab Consultancy two years ago put the estimated cost of the project at Rs 451 million 988 thousand 92.
The cost of the project is going to rise as the survey for the project is going to be conducted again, Chief of the District Water Supply and Sanitation Sub-division Office, Tanka Bahadur Sodari said.
"A consultancy called Landex is going to prepare the project DPR now and it is certain that the construction cost will rise. The construction works of the project would be started from the next fiscal year," he added.
Construction works of four sub-projects under the main project have already started at Bhandarigaon, Dhandthapala-1, Dhandthapala-2 and Kotilagaon, he said.
The project covers Tatopani and Guthichaur rural municipalities and Chandannath municipality areas, benefiting a population of 43 thousand 555.
