KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries when a motorcycle they were riding on went out of control and met with an accident in Khairendrapur, Shivaraj Municipality-3 of Kapilvastu district on Thursday.

Pillion rider on the motorcycle (Lu 21 Pa 9358), Mahesh Sunar (19) of Khidim in Arghakhanchi and the motorcyclist Prakash Sunar (23) were injured when the incident occurred at around 9:30 pm yesterday, police informed.

Mahesh was rushed to the Sanjivani Community Hospital in Chandrauta of Kapilvastu, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment yesterday, police added.

Meanwhile, Prakash is being treated at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Butwal, Rupandehi.
