The Karnali Province Government on Sunday unveiled its policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2023/024.

Province Chief Tilak Pariyar presented the policies and programmes with emphasis on economic wellbeing, social justice, poverty alleviation, employment creation and production growth in the province.

Presenting the policies and programmes in the Province Assembly meeting, Province Chief Pariyar said that a campaign would be run for prosperous Karnali Province aiming to provide jobs to 10,000 folks.

Likewise, chief minister employment programme, Dalit employment and chief minister women income generation programmes have been given continuity with slight modifications.

The policies and programmes include developing the province as a hub for organic goods.

Furthermore, the Province Government has reintroduced the plan to expand the Surkhet Airport, which was replaced by former Chief Minister Jiban Bahadur Shahi.

Province Chief Pariyar stated that cooperation with federal government would be advanced to expand the airport.

The policies and programmes includes construction of an overhead bridge at Mangalgadhi Chowk in Birendranagar and traffic light management on the road there.
