KASKI: A motorable bridge linking Lekhanath Municipality and Rupakot VDC in Kaski district was inaugurated after three years of completion of its reconstruction.

Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi inaugurated the bridge amid a function on Sunday. Construction of the 21-metre long motorable bride was completed on October 5, 2012.

Chief Engineer of District Technical Office, Kaski, Narayan Prasad Shrestha said that the bridge along the Satmuhane-Rupakot-Thumki road section in the district was constructed with the investment of Rs 15.5 million.

Chief Secretary Subedi is also a permanent resident of Thumki VDC.

After the inaugural ceremony, Subedi urged all not to play politics in the development works.

Likewise, Subedi pledged his support from his side for the zoo that is being established in Pachabhaiya in Lekhanath Municipality.
