Khandidanda Airport resumes service

Khotang, August 5

Air service at Manamaya Rai Khanidanda Airport in Khotang has resumed after a month of obstruction by heavy fog.

The airport had halted its services from July 14, affecting many passengers, especially patients referred to other hospitals.

Chief of Manamaya Rai Khanidanda Airport Yadavsen Rai said that regular flights have resumed after the weather conditions improved. Nepal Airlines Corporation has been operating Kathmandu-Khanidanda-Kathmandu flights every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday, and Biratnagar-Khanidanda-Biratnagar flights on Tuesday and Friday.

Tara and Goma airlines have also been operating the air service there. The district also has three other airports — Lamidanda Airport, Thamkharka Airport, and Khanudanda Airport. Thamkharka Airport has been closed since the second week of June.
