Khatun misbehaves with Bara district judge
Birgunj, April 27
CPN-UML Member of Parliament Nejma Khatun misbehaved with Bara District Court judge Bhoj Raj Sharma as the court verdict was not in her favour today.
Earlier, a single bench of district judge Sharma had sentenced Ram Chandra Pyasi Kushwaha to ten years in jail for murdering Khatun’s husband and CPN-UML leader Mahamud Alam.
Expressing her dissatisfaction with the verdict, Khatun misbehaved with the judge at his office. After she continuously shouted, Sharma left his office and entered another chamber. However, Khatun’s supporters vandalised the chamber window chanting slogans.
The situation turned normal after a police team arrived.
Khatun and her supporters were demanding confiscation of all property and life imprisonment for the murder mastermind Ram Chandra Pyasi. “I will file a complaint against judge Sharma,” argued Khatun.
The court had given a ten-year jail term for the accused Indian nationals Mahammad Phahid alias Bipin Yadav, Atik Khan and Raju Shreebastav.
Similarly, the court ordered 21-year-jail term for main accused of the murder Rajesh Mishra alias Rabi Pandey.
UML leader Alam was murdered two-and-a-half years ago when he was contesting election for the Constituent Assembly at Lipanimal VDC of Bara.
