Kids’ Winter Camp begins from today

Kathmandu, December 31:

A Children’s Winter Day Camp organised by Nepal Children’’s Organization, Bal Mandir, Naxal, started from today.

The camp has been organised to bring out the creativity of the children, bringing the children together from various sectors of the society and enhancing their knowledge for better understanding.

The objective is to develop the children physically, mentally and emotionally, make them happy throughout the camp and to utilise their leisure period fruitfully.

Altogether 150 children from the Organization, children’’s homes and other children are taking part in the one-day camp.

The Nepal Children’s Organisation has been organizing such Winter Day Camp programs each year during the winter vacation since 1992.

Inaugurating the Camp, Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Urmila Aryal, said the camp would be important to expose the children’’s talents.

At the programme presided over by Chairperson of the Organization, Rita Singh Vaidya, General Secretary of the Organisation Tulsi Narayan Shrestha gave out information about different aspects of the camp.
