DHANGADI, DECEMBER 2

Family members of deceased Chetana Saud,15, have agreed to take the body in Dhangadi. Chetana Saud had died on the spot after a road grader hit her while she was on her way to school yesterday morning.

Following the agreement inked between Chetana's relatives and police administration, the family members had agreed to take the body today evening. The body will be cremated afterpost-mortem. Family members had registered an FIR against grader driver Bikal Kumal, 27, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City before they agreed to take the body. "We have registered a murder case against the driver and agreed to probe into the incident sending the drive to four-day remand," said District Police office Kailali.

A resident of Baitadi's Dilasani Rural Municiplaity-6, Chetana Saud was crushed by the grader on her way to school in Dhangadi sub-metropolis-5 yesterday morning.

Police had failed to move the body from the incident site after the students and locals protested saying that the driver had reversed the grader and crushed the girl to death. A prohibitory order was put in place and the body was moved from the accident site yesterday evening.
