Relatives and family members of the two kids killed in a road accident obstructed Bauniya road section along the East-West highway in Kailali.

A bus belonging to Mahakali Transport had hit two kids riding bicycle at Sajah Chowk of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality, last night. The bus was en route Kathmandu from Mahendranagar. Critically injured Anshu Chaudhary, 8, and Laxman Chaudhary, 12, had breathed their last while undergoing treatment.

Relatives and family members took to the streets and disrupted vehicular movement demanding reparation. The strike left vehicles and passengers stranded. Area Police Office, Bauniya, said people had disrupted the highway after two boys died due to a bus-hit.

Critically injured Laxman died at a nursing home in Nepalgunj while Anshu breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Lucknow city of India, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dakshya Kumar Basnet.

Police have arrested the bus driver and seized the vehicle.
