King meets UAE prez

Abu Dhabi, June 21:
King Gyanendra had a meeting with president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Presidential Palace today. The King also graced a luncheon hosted in his honour by president Al Nahyan. Upon arrival at the Presidential Palace, the King was accorded a hearty welcome by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
All members of the Council of Ministers of the UAE and high officials were also present to welcome the King. Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramesh Nath Pandey and Charge d’
Affaires at the Royal Nepalese Embassy in UAE, Madhwan Poudel also attended the luncheon.
Meanwhile, Pandey and Minister for Labour and Social Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Dr Ali bin Abdulla Al Kaabi, held talks on various issues of bilateral interest today. Talking to media persons, Pandey said the talks focused on providing additional opportunities to the Nepali workers in the UAE. King Gyanendra and Queen Komal will return to Kathmandu tomorrow.
