Pokhara, March 15:
Former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana, addressing the third national convention of human rights radio audience in Pokhara, said the King and the political parties should unite for the establishment of constituent assembly.
Dhungana suggested the government and the Maoists to give up weapons "as the situation is deteriorating day by day."
"The King is afraid that the constituent assembly will slash his power," he said and accused the Maoists of blatant rights violations. "Maoists should also lend their support to the constituent assembly," he said and opined that peace would be impossible without the establishment of constituent assembly.
