PHIDIM: A patrolling team of Armed Police Force detained Indra Bahadur Rai of Subhang-2, a cadre of Kirat Janabadi Workers Party (KJWP) at Phidim Bazaar today morning.

Earlier the APF team had detained 4 KJWP cadres with two motorcycles at Ilam-Phidim road section along Mechi highway.

The detainees are identified as Devin Subba, 19, of Hangum Panchthar, Tekman Rai and Ashmin Rai of Shantidanda Ilam and Indradev Rai of Lungrupa of Panchthar.

Issuing a press release, Eastern Region chief of the party Himal Khumbu informed that one of the detainees is an alternative central member of the party and the remaining are general cadres.

The police informed that they recovered two motorcycles, some mobile sets and important party literatures with them. According to Yagya Binod Pokharel, DSP, Panchthar, they were detained after they tried to flee when the police asked them to produce documents of the vehicles.
