Oli accuses govt of overshadowing elections

BHOJPUR: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the government of not being enthusiastic enough to hold the elections on time.

Speaking with the media at Biratnagar Airport on Tuesday, Oli stressed the constitutional need to hold all three tiers of election—local, provincial and federal—within the next 10 months.

He, however, lamented that the incumbent government did nothing to achieve the goal.

The former Prime Minister also suggested the government not to get entangled in other insignificant matters and urged it to focus on the elections.

Meanwhile, he remained adamant about not letting the debated Constitution amendment bill get passed from the Parliament.
