KU staff union chief suspended

Kavre, January 25:

The Kathmandu University (KU) has suspended president of the University

Staff Union Surendra KC for three months.

Vice-chancellor of the KU Dr Suresh Raj Sharma said KC was suspended for causing anarchy in the university in the name of the Union.

In a letter handed over to him, the university administration said he was suspended on the basis of complaints lodged by manager of the finance division Kumar Baral and human resource manager Jyoti Pradhan to the administration yesterday.

Both of them were manhandled during the indefinite lock-up of the KU administration office and the main gate yesterday.
