Lack of power supply hits plus 2 classes
Tanahun, February 21:
Classes of grade 11 and 12 at the Siddhartha higher secondary school at Badhar Bhanjyang of Kihun VDC-2 in Tanahun district are being run by lighting lanterns for the past eight years due to lack of electricity.
The school was established in 1999 with a total of 55 students. Morning shift classes of 10+2 level are being run by lighting gas lanterns due to lack of electricity, Principal of the school Chhabi Lal Sharma said. He added that the classes of 10+2 level are conducted in the morning, as the school does not have adequate number of classrooms.
“Students and teachers are facing a lot of difficulties due to lack of electricity supply,” Sharma said.
