LAHAN: A woman succumbed to her husband's attack with a traditional stone mortar (lohoro) in Lahan Municipality-6 of Siraha district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Babita Kumari Sah, who was attacked by Bisweshor Prasad Sah in a fit of rage over a minor domestic dispute.

Seriously hurt in the incident, Babita Kumari was rushed to a local hospital in Lahan, where she breathed her last this morning during treatment, according to Raj Kumar KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Lahan.

Police have taken the accused under their control for further investigation into the case.
