Mahottari, June 11:

JTMM-Goit and JTMM-Jwala groups today captured 96 bighas of land belonging to six persons, including that of former minister Sarat Singh Bhandari, in Mahottari.

The JTMM-Goit cadres seized 30 bighas of land and a house belonging to Bhandari at Aurahi VDC. “Persons who try to sell or buy the land will be punished,” said area in-charge of the JTMM-Goit, Anil. The same group captured 20 bighas of land belonging to Basanta Mathema, 10 bighas of land belonging to Pushpa Msthema, Ram Mathema’s 15 bighas of land and seven ponds at Banauta .

The JTMM-Jwala seized 14 bighas of land belonging to Radhe Shyam Kuti at Sitapur Bhangaha VDC and 18 bighas of land belonging to Mani Ram Sharan Das at Ajagewa.

Meanwhile, JTMM-Jwala cadres yesterday seized land belonging to the Nepal Army in Siraha-7. JTMM-Jwala central member, Shiva said: “Some 40 cadres seized five bighas of land belonging to NA.” However, the Siraha base camp of the Rana Singh Dal battalion said the battalion was unaware of the incident.
